The Politeknik Statistika STIS has reason to be proud. The Epic Comeback team achieved success in the 2018 National Data Day competition held by Telkom University, Bandung, on Monday (11/19). This achievement was the result of contributions from:

1. Agung Tika W. (4KS2)
2. Nuradika Pradana Reeza K.U. (4KS1)
3. Wahyu Hassapni (4KS1)

The team, consisting of students from the Statistical Computing Study Program, won the Best Presentation award in Data Science with their research title "Analysis of Health Development in Indonesia Based on a News Web Portal Using a Content-Based Approach."

The challenge was not easy, as in addition to preparing competition requirements such as proposals and presentation slides, they also had to manage their time to complete their final project (thesis). Furthermore, they had to compete not only with students from Telkom University but also from IPB, UI, ITS, UGM, and UNISSULA. Armed with hard work, they finally achieved success at Telkom University's annual event, which began in 2016.

When asked about the meaning of the team name, they stated that "Epic Comeback" is a term commonly used by gamers to describe a situation where they are on the verge of defeat but are able to turn things around. Quoting the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali: "Believe that nothing is impossible, even when you are in a truly desperate situation."
