On Sunday (November 11th), the logo of the Politeknik Statistika (Polstat) STIS was displayed on a large screen in the Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building on the Dramaga Campus of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) along with the announcement of the Overall Champion title at the 2018 Statistika Ria event. This title was awarded after Polstat STIS students won several titles in the annual statistics competition organized by the IPB Statistics Student Association.

Statistika Ria 2018 was the 13th and consisted of several competitions, including:

The National Statistics Competition (KSN), one of Statistika Ria's competitions, is participated in by various universities in Indonesia. The competition lasts for three days, consisting of an online preliminary round, quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals. This competition trains students to solve statistical problems comprehensively and analyze data meticulously to provide appropriate solutions. This competition requires not only high intellectual prowess, but also speed, accuracy, and clear delivery that is understandable to a wider audience.

The Statistics Essay Competition (SEC) is a competition designed to enhance students' insight and creativity. Participants must write their ideas in a scientific paper based on the SEC theme. Students from universities across Southeast Asia are eligible to participate.

The Statistics Infographics Competition (SIC), open to students across Southeast Asia, challenges participants to transform information about cases relevant to a given theme into engaging and easy-to-understand infographics.

In the online preliminary round, which was participated by Polstat STIS students, 10 students participated in the KSN competition, one pair of students participated in the SEC competition, and three pairs of students participated in the SIC competition, which successfully advanced to the next stage. At the end of the competition, the following are the results of the Polstat STIS winners:

2nd Place SIC: Ahmad Rifky Farhan (4KS3) and Vergita Lewin Handoko (4KS3)

Favorite SIC: Ahmad Rifky Farhan (4KS3) and Vergita Lewin Handoko (4KS3)

3rd Place KSN: Novia Permatasari (3KS1)

1st Runner-Up KSN: Eddy Junaedi (4SE3)

Meanwhile, based on the accumulated scores of all participants from each university that passed the preliminary round (not based on the number of medals won), the Overall Champion title was awarded to Polstat STIS.
